In or out? The Bubble

Is your team going to make the tournament? The decision on whether a team is in our out comes down to what the committee values. Here are the teams in contention for the last few spots.

Michigan St The Spartans should be in. They have 3 top 10 NET wins and no losses in quads 3/4. They road record of 3-8 and the 70 NET are the issues.

UCLA The Bruins has only one win vs the potential field. They are 5-8 in quads 1/2.

Louisville Three wins vs the field but best two wins at home. They are 7-6 in quads 1/2 & 4-4 on the road.

Drake Only quality win was vs Loyola. they are 6-2 vs quads 1/2 and have played with injuries lately. They could have their entire squad back for the tourney.

Syracuse They have helped themselves with three quality wins at home down the stretch. Their resume is similar to Louisville. Solid NET ranking offsets a poor road record of 2-7.

Colorado St– The Rams have wins over the top 3 other teams in the Mountain West & have no losses outside of quad 2.

Ole Miss The Rebels have 3 wins vs the field & are 7-8 in quads 1/2. All losses are to top 100 NET teams but five such losses are to non tournament teams.

Utah St The Aggies have two wins over regular season Mountain West champions San Diego St. They were swept by Boise St & have two quad 3 losses.

Boise St The Bronchos have a nice road win at BYU and wins swept Boise St. They are 0-3 vs 95 NET Nevada & 4-6 on the road.

ST Louis The Billikens have two quality wins over St. Bonaventure & LSU. Their two quad 3 losses come immediately after a month long Covid pause where a majority of players tested positive.

IN: Michigan St, Drake, Louisville, Syracuse

Sweating selection Sunday: UCLA, Colorado St, Ole Miss, Utah St

Out: Boise St

Surprise team: St. Louis could be last team in. Committee always seems to have a surprise team at the back end of the at large selection.
