BIG EAST Conference report Nov. 29
The Big East has had a great start to the season. There have been several big wins in the conference which will pay huge dividends as the season goes on. Once thought to be a 3 bid league, now looks like a 5/6 bid league going forward.
Conference Best
Villanova- Despite two losses to quality teams, Nova is still the team to beat in the BIG EAST. Likely 2/3 seed line
Trending up: Teams moving up the seed list
UCONN- The Huskies won 2 of 3 in the Battle for Atlantis. Wins over Auburn and VCU are good for the resume
Xavier- The Musketeers picked up two nice wins over Ohio St and Virginia Tech
Seton Hall- Road win at Michigan is a big win for the Pirates
Marquette- 3 solid wins vs Illinois, Ole Miss and West Virginia help Marquette into our bracket this week
Bubble: Teams either in or out of the bracket
Creighton- The Blue Jays need to get some quality wins to stay in the bracket.
Providence- a nice road win at Wisconsin is looking good. Only loss is to Virginia
St. John’s- The Red Storm lost to Indiana in it’s only quality matchup to date. They look to make a good run to the tourney
Trending Down: Teams that are dropping down the seed list or out of our bracket
Butler- Butler has lost all three of its quality games so far. They have a long way to go to get back into consideration
