BIG 10 Conference Report Jan 13
The BIG TEN has 5 teams likely to fight for a conference championship. The conference has overcome a tough start to the season and has several teams in the top 6 seed lines in our latest bracket. We see a league where 7 teams are most likely to get in with a possibility of maybe 1 more by the end of the season.
Conference Best
Purdue – Despite a tough loss at home to Wisconsin, Purdue is still in consideration for a top seed. They have some on court issues to fix to remain in that position.
Michigan St- The Spartans join the Boilermakers on this list. A current 3 seed line their resume is solid and are currently on a nice winning streak
Trending up: Teams moving up the seed list
Illinois – This team struggled out of the gate with a suspension of its best player and the loss of its point guard. Recently though, the fighting Illini are on a 5 game winning streak. A likely 5/6 seed they are on the way up.
Wisconsin- Winning on the road in the BIG 10 is difficult, winning at Purdue is almost impossible. The Badgers, however, did just that. They continue to grind out nice wins and have been moving up the seed list rapidly
Bubble: Teams either in or out of the bracket
Indiana- The Hoosier had been out of most brackets for awhile. The home win over Ohio St was their first quad 1 win. They are in but in the 8/9 seed range for the moment. They need a few road wins to solidify their resume
Iowa- The Hawkeyes do not have any bad losses but the question is, Can they win big games?
Minnesota – The Gophers are a quality team. They are playing teams tough but losing lately. Do they have enough to stay in the bracket? Time will tell. One of our last teams in our bracket
Trending Down: Teams that are dropping down the seed list or out of our bracket
Michigan- The Wolverines have lost a lot of games and are now on a covid pause. They need to right the ship quickly or miss out on march Madness
