The NEC conference regular season was a two team race between Central Connecticut State and Merrimack. Merrimack has completed its transition to Division 1 and is eligible this season to go to the NCAA tournament. CCSU & Merrimack split two games this season and should meet up in the championship game baring upsets. This conference gave us Fairleigh Dickinson last season and its upset of Purdue
