Player of the week – week 5
Jalen Hurts has been a top contender for our player of the week all season. He finally made our player of the week with some impressive stats. Hurts previously played at Alabama for three years. He is now at Oklahoma for his final year as a graduate transfer and is already up for Heisman watch. The Sooner’s pulled away with a comfortable work win against Texas Tech 55-16. With this victory, Oklahoma becomes the 6th FBS program to reach 900 wins all-time. Lincoln Riley also improves to 13-0 in the month of September as the Sooners’ head coach. Jalen Hurts picked up where he left off two weeks ago against UCLA. He completed 17 of 24 passes for 415 yards, with three touchdowns and his first INT (interception) of the season. The primary recipients on the other end of those figures were CeeDee Lamb and Charleston Rambo, who in the first half alone recorded 120 and 122 receiving yards. This team has a shot at the national championship as they move on 4-0 with their leader who knows the game quite well.
