March 3rd Game results
RUTGERS– defeat Maryland at home 78-67 to stay in the field. Rutgers need a road win badly. Despite the win they may be on the way out.
MICHIGAN ST The Spartans defeated Penn St 79-71 on the road. The win is their 4th straight quad 1 win. Look for the Spartans on the 3 line and maybe even as high as a two seed.
PURDUE The Boilers went to Iowa City needing a win and they got a huge win 77-68. Purdue is now in our first four out and will need at least two more wins to have a chance.
TEXAS– Nothing is more March Madness than banking in a 3 with 0.4 seconds left to win a huge resume game on the road. The Longhorns stay alive with the big shot by defeating Oklahoma 52-51
CINCINNATI– The Bearcats are on the outside. Defeating South Florida on the road 79-67 simply holds their place.
SOUTH CAROLINA The Gamecocks defeat fellow bubble team Mississippi St 83-71 to stay inconsideration. They move ahead of the Bulldogs on our list.
RICHMOND The Spiders are just outside our field. Beating Davidson 80-63 keeps them in serious contention.
WEST VIRGINIA– The Mountaineers get a road win at Iowa St 77-71 to stop their skid.
ALABAMA The Crimson Tide will now need to win the SEC tourney. Losing at home to Vanderbilt is not a way to impress the committee.
MARQUETTE– They are falling down seed lines with each loss. Losing to DePaul 69-68 hurts their positioning.
KENTUCKY– A team fighting for a 2 seed needs to win its home games. The Wildcats lost to Tennessee in Rupp Arena 81-73. They are a 3/4 seed line team for us.
