PENN ST -goes on the road and beats Michigan 72-63. The Nittany Lions get a big quad 1 win on the road. They not only are looking good for a bid but we have them in the 5/6 seed range. Michigan continues to struggle but have been playing with out starter Isaiah Livers. The Wolverines have only lost to quad 1 teams and will be in the 6-8 seed range for now.

XAVIER- The Musketeers defeat fellow bubble team Georgetown 66-57. This was a much needed win to move Xavier up the consideration list. They need a couple more wins to enter our bracket. Georgetown is right on our cut line. A road loss in conference is not an automatic drop in seed line

SYRACUSE– Don’t look now but eh Orange are moving up the bubble. Winning on the road against Notre Dame 84-82 on the road helps move them up the list. Syracuse always finds themselves fighting for a bid. The best thing for them is no losses in quads 3 and 4.

CREIGHTON– Road wins play. Winning at DePaul will boost the Blue Jays resume. DePaul is in our last four in and missed out on an opportunity to gain another quad 1 win.

AUBURN– After a rough stretch of play the Auburn Tigers get a much needed win over South Carolina 80-67. Auburn’s resume has been questioned despite a high NET ranking. This win calms things down some for the moment. The Tigers are likely a 4-6 seed at this time

LOUISVILLE Held serve by defeating Georgia Tech 68-64. The narrow victory comes after a big win at Duke. The Cardinals find themselves deeply in the top 4 seed discussion with a high of a possible 2 seed.

VIRGINIA TECH Winning at home over North Carolina in OT 79-77. The Hokies are dangerously close to the cut line of the bracket. This is a quad 3 win but more importantly prevents a tough loss.

MEMPHIS Losing to Tulsa by 40 points is not a good look and not good for the metrics of the NET. The Tigers resume is ok but needs some quality wins. This loss is bad. Memphis is in the 8-10 seed range.

ST LOUIS- Losing to Davidson on the road usually is not a bad loss. This season though it’s the Bilikins that are on the bubble and need wins. Losing to a below .500 team is not good for their tourney hopes.

NORTHERN IOWA– The Panthers lose a road conference game to Southern Illinois by the score of 68-66. This is a bad beat because Northern Iowa has been gaining some steam as a possible at large team if they do not win the tourney. A loss like this hurts that cause.

FURMAN– The Paladins improve their record to 16-5 with a win on Wednesday night. They still are a long shot as an at large team.

VERMONT Continues to win games by defeating Maine59-57. The Catamounts improve to 14-6.
