SETON HALL The Pirates ended a brief losing streak with a 74-72 win over Butler. This win will keep Seton Hall on the 3 seed line
MICHIGAN- The Wolverines are adding wins to the resume. Beating Rutgers 60-52 on the road may move Michigan as high as a 6 seed.
INDIANA– The Hoosiers have struggled on the road. They did not on Wednesday, as they defeated Minnesota 68-56 to earn their 5th quad 1 win. Currently a high 9 or low 10 seed, Indiana still has work to do.
PROVIDENCE The Friars are making a huge push after a real tough start to the season. A road victory at fellow bubble team Georgetown 73-63 makes them either last team in or first team out in our bracket.
NC STATE– The Wolfpack are up and down. Losing to Boston College and then blowing out Duke at home. The win was good enough to move them into the field far enough to avoid the Dayton play in games.
MISSISSIPPI ST– The Bulldogs won the battle of two trending upward bubble teams. Beating South Carolina 79-76 keeps Mississippi St in our first four out. They need a few more wins to move into the field.
LOUISVILLE– Two bad road losses had some doubting the Cardinals. An impressive 90-66 win at home over Syracuse stems the tide for now. Louisville with its 9 NET ranking is either the last 2 seed or a 3 seed.
RICHMOND defeats George Mason at home to stay on the cutline. With some teams getting huge wins below them, the Spiders may be forced into our first four out.
VIRGINIA– The Cavaliers defeat Boston College 78-65. Virginia needs another quality win to get off the 11 seed line.
TEXAS TECH Good team with questionable resume. The Red Raiders took care of business by defeating Kansas St 69-62. With a NET of 21, Texas Tech looks to be in the 7/8 seed range.
ALABAMA A team with a modest resume needs to win games that is should. Losing at home to Texas A&M does not help the Tide. They fall deeper down our consideration list.
CINCINNATI– The Bearcats became the first team in our bracket with 4 quad 3 losses. So, they fall out of our bracket. They still have a chance with a few more wins.
AUBURN The Tigers lose on the road to Georgia. Road games are tough, but this may be a seed line loss for Auburn. Their NET is now 28 and we have them on our 6 seed line.
MID MAJOR GAMES
EAST TENNESSEE ST– Defeats Furman 75-66 in a battle of top teams in the Southern Conference. This win adds to the at large berth resume for ETSU.
UNCG Another Southern conference contender keeps on winning. This time 83-79 in OT over Wofford. We had them in for awhile last week.
SF AUSTIN– A team that got some publicity in national publications for a possible at large berth, did what it needed, it won. They are now 23-3. Despite the win over Duke, the resume is light and they will need to win their tournament to get in
SOUTH DAKOTA ST another team to watch come tourney time. They improve their record to 21-8.
