Bracket Notes: November 14th, 2023

Insights from the first week of basketball

PAC 12 Conference had a difficult week. USC, Oregon, Arizona St, Washington St, Colorado, Stanford all lose. USC and Oregon are tourney worthy and the others are fighting for a spot. The whole conference will need to have some marquee wins to offset this week

The ACC had a few bad losses as well. Florida St is currently 0-2. We had them in our pre-season bracket. They have a lot of work yet to do

Michigan State lost but had a good showing vs Gonzaga. They play Tuesday night vs Kentucky and have a lot of great opportunities for quality wins with Villanova, Alabama and Notre Dame on the schedule.

Tennessee loses to Colorado after Colorado lost to Grambling. Not the start the Volunteers expected. They will rebound.

Gavitt Games are being played this week. There are a couple of key matchups Purdue vs Marquette, Iowa vs Seton Hall, Indiana vs Xavier and Michigan St vs Villanova. Important games for these conferences as they begin the battle for bids
