Bracket Impact Games of Dec 20th

BIG Wins

Wake Forest – Defeats Duke 81-70. Wake was on our considered list in our latest bracket. This win will go a long way for their chances to make the dance

Providence– A double OT victory over #24 Marquette. Here we go again. Providence in conference play making a strong push

Miami Fla– The Hurricanes were in our bracket this week but a win over Virginia 66-64 sure helps them move up the seed line

Pittsburgh– Goes on the road to defeat Syracuse. Pitt is on our consideration list so a road win vs a team likely to battle for a similar spot in the tourney is a plus

Oklahoma– The Sooners defeat Florida 62-53. Oklahoma was an 11 seed for us and wins like this can only help

Holding Serve

UConn– The Huskies overcame a 2nd half deficit to defeat Georgetown. They hold onto the top seed for us

Xavier– An 7/8/9 seed type of team needs to avoid home losses. They did by beating Seton Hall 73-70

Bad loss

Ole MIss– Losing to North Alabama 66-65 hurts their chances but also the SEC takes a little bit of a hit

Mississippi State– Losing to Drake is not horrible as Drake is a top team in the Missouri Valley, but getting first loss still stings

Mid Majors

Toledo- Wins on the road over Vermont 84-72. Not likely to move the needle to much for an at-large but a team who can pull off an upset if they make the dance.

San Jose St– We just appreciate Coach Tim Miles. He has his team at 9-4 as he rebuilds. Keep up the good work Coach
