The American Conference is headlined by Houston once again, but Anfernee Hardaway’s Memphis Tigers have been a disappointment so far.

Houston- The Cougars made a Final 4 run last year, and although the talent is not the same as last year’s team, they are off to an 8-1 start.

Wichita St.-The Shockers had a nice road win at Oklahoma St. to put themselves in a good position to make the tournament

Bubble: Teams either in or out of the bracket

Cincinnati-The Bearcats are looking to get back into the tournament under first year coach Wes Miller, and an early season victory over Illinois has them in the conversation.

Memphis- The Tigers have Final 4 talent according to many people, but a 3 game losing streak has them on the outside looking in today.
